Main witness in trial for Brandon Aaron Ladds, 33, didn't attend court Thursday as ordered
A Maugerville man accused of shooting another man last year was acquitted last week after the man who sustained a gunshot wound didn’t attend court to testify at a scheduled trial.

He was accused of discharging a firearm at Shawn Cochrane with intent to wound, maim or disfigure him, or to endanger his life; possessing a rifle for a purpose dangerous to the public peace; storing that rifle improperly; possessing it without a licence; and possessing it knowing he didn’t have such a licence or authorization.
