Manslaughter bail hearing postponed
Defence counsel for Lucas D. LeClair, 31, of Keswick Ridge, says he needs time to arrange witnesses, review police brief detailing investigation into sudden death in Lower Hainesville
About two dozen people - about half for a homicide victim, the other for the man accused of killing him - gathered in a Fredericton courtroom Tuesday for a bail hearing that was ultimately postponed.
Lucas D. LeClair, 31, of Tripp Settlement Road in Keswick Ridge, appeared in person and in custody in Fredericton provincial court Tuesday morning, scheduled to go through a bail hearing.
He faces an RCMP charge of manslaughter, stemming from the July 21 death of Josh Crouse, 39, in Lower Hainesville, about 50 kilometres northwest of Fredericton.
