Man wanted for serious assault in Woodstock
Warrant of arrest issued for Takoda Louis Lee Christian, 19, after victim injured Nov. 14
The Woodstock Police Force is on the hunt for a young man wanted on an allegation of aggravated assault last week at the town’s Legion hall.
In a news release issued Thursday, the Woodstock Police Force advised officers were dispatched to the Legion on Carleton Street in the up-river town at about 8:55 p.m. Nov. 14 after receiving a report about an injured man.
“Upon arrival, officers found a man with serious injuries,” the release said.
“He was immediately provided with medical assistance and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.”
After investigating what happened, it said, the force’s street crime unit identified Takoda Louis Lee Christian, 19, as a suspect in what police are treating as an aggravated assault.
“As of now, Christian is wanted on a warrant for his arrest,” the release said. “Police do not believe there is a danger to the public.”
The Woodstock Police Force is seeking tips from the public to aid its efforts to locate Christian and to assist with its ongoing investigation.
