Western Valley Region RCMP issue alert for Bon Trecartin, 35, warns he’s considered violent
The RCMP is on the hunt for a man after a report of a violent home invasion early Sunday morning in the upper river valley area of New Brunswick.
The Western Valley Region detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Sunday advising it’s seeking information from the public to locate Bon Trecartin, 35.
Police report he’s wanted in connection with an investigation into a break, enter and assault in East Brighton, about 30 kilometres northeast of Woodstock or 88 kilometres northwest of Fredericton..
“On June 23, 2024, in the early-morning hours, police responded to a report of a break, enter and assault at a residence in East Brighton, N.B.,” the release said.
“A man had broken into a residence, assaulted a woman and threatened her. The woman was able to call 911, at which point the man fled the scene.”
The RCMP reported that Trecartin is well-known to police “and is considered violent.”
The suspect is described as having a medium build with short brown hair, a trimmed beard and moustache.
“He has a tattoo on the right side of his neck, as well as tattoos on his right arm and hand,” the release said.
Police advise that anyone who might see Trecartin should not approach him and instead should immediately call 911.
