An all-terrain vehicle accident on Remembrance Day claimed the life of a man from Bull’s Creek, reports the RCMP.
The Western Region Valley detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Tuesday, advising of the fatality.
It said a 53-year-old man from Bulls Creek - just a few kilometres south of Woodstock - died in an off-road accident in that community Monday.
“On Nov. 11, 2024, at approximately 8:51 a.m., members of the Western Valley Region RCMP responded to a report of a single all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash on a trail off of Sighaw Road,” the release said.
“The driver and sole occupant of the ATV died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver of the ATV lost control and flipped over.”
Among the first responders attending the scene were Mounties, members of the Woodstock Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick paramedics, it said, and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office also attended the location.
The RCMP said the investigation is ongoing, noting that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
