A New Brunswick man accused an assault so serious it endangered a family member’ life and a sexual assault on that person has denied the charges against him.

The defendant - a 42-year-old man of no fixed address - appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from jail Monday to elect mode of trial and enter pleas to seven serious charges.

There’s a court-ordered publication ban protecting the identity of the complainant, to whom the defendant is related, and as such, the Fredericton Independent isn’t naming the accused so as to comply with the order.
