A homeless man who’s been on remand for months on an arson charge, among others, and who parted ways with his legal-aid lawyer has only just filled out a form to get new counsel, court heard Wednesday.

Joshua Daniel Grant Burden, 50, of no fixed address, faces numerous charges to which he once pleaded guilty only to claim he committed none of those crimes, prompting a judge to set them down for trial this fall.

He’s accused of an Oct. 12 charge of uttering threats, an Oct. 24 count of uttering threats to a police officer, an Oct. 29 charge of arson at MacTavish’s Source for Sports on Queen Street and three related charges of breach of probation.
