Mactaquac Dam road closing for five days
All lanes across structure just outside Fredericton to be closed to traffic from Nov. 21-26
Commuters who use the road across the Mactaquac Dam to get around the capital region will have to find an alternate route later this week into next, as an inspection is closing the road for five days.
The provincial government issued an advisory online Monday that the Mactaquac Road across the dam will be closed in both directions beginning Thursday at 2 a.m. and will remain so until Tuesday, Nov. 26 and 4 a.m.
The closure will affect all lanes, it said, and the reason is for inspection and maintenance of the road across the dam.
