The organization that oversees Fredericton’s most prominent public garden is offering something that will appeal to everyone from the most gung-ho green thumbs to rookies on roots: free seeds.

The Fredericton Botanic Garden Association is hosting Seedy Saturday this weekend, manager Linda Stephenson told the Fredericton Independent this week, during which thousands of seeds will be given away for free at the Fredericton Botanic Garden at 10 Cameron Ct.

Stephenson said the goals of the association’s annual event are to foster an interest in gardening among those who haven’t tried it and to support those who may not have the resources or expertise to feed their passion of getting things to grow.
