A homeless man charged with trashing Fredericton’s main public library after breaking into the facility now has defence counsel and is seeking to be released from custody.
Kelly Gordon Kleim, 30, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court in custody and in person Monday, scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter pleas to various charges.

The highest profile allegations stem from a Sept. 30 incident at the Fredericton Public Library on Carleton Street that sparked anger and sadness in the community.
