A homeless man accused of breaking into and trashing Fredericton’s downtown public library will undergo a psychiatric assessment in the coming days to determine his fitness to stand trial.

Kelly Gordon Kleim, 30, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court remotely from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Thursday for a fitness hearing.
