A Fredericton man accused in a violent robbery incident in uptown Fredericton in March and who’s disrupted court proceedings repeatedly with his bizarre behaviour has been found unfit to stand trial.

Colin Jaffar Rogers, 28, of Westbrook Lane, appeared in Fredericton provincial court from the Saint John jail Friday, as he’s been in custody since his arrest March 20 at Canadian Tire on Smythe Street.

He faces counts of aggravated assault on Joseph Godin by wounding him and endangering his life, assault on Godin with a utility knife, robbery by assaulting Godin, possession of a machete for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, an assault on Fredericton police Const. Deana Joka and resisting arrest, all stemming from alleged events that same day.
