Judge nixes change-of-venue demand
“I just don’t feel like I’m being treated fairly,” says break-in suspect Jason Rodney McBride
A man accused of breaking into a government communications facility in Fredericton demanded a change of venue for his case this week, but the judge told him that’s not how the system works.
Jason Rodney McBride, 45, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Tuesday, scheduled to answer to counts alleging he broke into into a provincial government radio communications tower on James Kidd Flemming Circle, damaging a window there and thereby breaching his probation.
The charges allege events in Fredericton on May 6.
