Joint trafficking case proceeding to trial
Posha Ward, 33, and Dale Dunham, 36, face Fredericton fentanyl, meth, cocaine charges
After numerous delays, a co-accused in a joint drug-trafficking prosecution was finally ready for election of mode of trial and pleas Thursday, and like the other defendant, she denied the allegations.
Dale Dunham, 36, of Mill Settlement Road in Hoyt, about 50 kilometres south of Fredericton, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from jail Thursday, while his co-accused - Posha Ward, 33, of Hardwicke Road in Hardwicke, about 45 km east of Miramichi - appeared in person, as she’s not in custody.
They’re accused of possessing fentanyl, methamphetamines and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking in Fredericton on Dec. 5.
