Inmate’s firearms trials set for January
Codi Timothy Martin, 32, of no fixed address, now has defence counsel assigned to him
A judge set trial dates Tuesday for a Fredericton man for charges alleging firearms offences, among others, from November and February.
Codi Timothy Martin, 32, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Monday by telephone for a monitoring proceeding so trial dates could be set in two files.
He’d elected to be tried in provincial court and pleaded not guilty earlier this month to charges of pointing a firearm at a complainant, uttering a threat to cause death and/or bodily harm to that complainant, possessing a 9-mm handgun without a licence and violating a court-ordered firearms ban, all on Nov. 21 in Fredericton.
