An international water-technology company faces a provincial safety-violation charge stemming from a workplace injury at its Fredericton facility last fall.

EvoQua Water Technologies Ltd., based on Wilsey Road in the Vanier Industrial Park, was to make its first appearance in Fredericton provincial court Monday to answer to a charge under the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The charge alleges the company failed to provide necessary instruction to ensure an employee’s health and safety on the job Oct. 24.
