A judge said Tuesday she had no doubt a Nova Scotia man sexually abused his younger sister for years when he was living in New Brunswick, convicting him of incest and other crimes.
Robert Philip Warrington, 30, of Dartmouth, N.S., but formerly of Harvey and the Fredericton area, stood trial this summer in Fredericton provincial court on charges of incest, sexual assault, sexual touching of a minor, invitation to sexual touching, voyeurism and provision of sexually explicit material to a minor.
Those counts alleged he preyed on his younger sister, Jasmine Warrington, at the family home in Harvey and elsewhere between Sept. 7, 2013, and Dec. 31, 2016, when he was between the ages of 18 and 21 when she was only nine to 13 years old.
Judge Lyne Raymond rendered her decision on the trial Tuesday. The defendant was present, accompanied by his wife Tiffany Warrington, while sitting on the other side of the courtroom gallery were Jasmine, now 21, her family and even the accused’s father-in-law, supporting the complainant.
