A Nova Scotia man who was scheduled to be tried in the Court of King’s Bench this fall on allegations of sexually abusing his daughter shifted the level of court in which his trial will be held.

A 57-year-old defendant from Dartmouth, N.S., who previously elected to be tried before a King’s Bench judge alone on the sex-crime allegations appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone Monday.

On hand in person was his defence counsel, Legal Aid New Brunswick staff lawyer Edward Derrah.
