A Fredericton woman who was drunk at the wheel and when she left the scene of an accident earned a higher-than-normal fine and was given a conditional sentence with a curfew Friday.

Kasha Ann Oake, 38, of Fearneley Street, was back in Fredericton provincial court Friday for sentencing, having previously pleaded guilty to Oct. 11 counts of having an elevated blood-alcohol level within two hours of driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
