A Kingsley man left court Wednesday with a lighter wallet and a driving ban after admitting to driving drunk on a rural road more than a year ago.

Jason Parker, 40, of Kingsley Road, was scheduled to stand trial in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday on allegations of impaired driving dating back to the spring of 2023.

However, he opted instead to change his plea to guilty to a count of having an elevated blood-alcohol level within two hours of driving.
