Enraged his wife had been unfaithful, an Oromocto man struck her, knocking out her teeth while driving down a rural highway with their young children in the back seat, court heard Friday.
Adam Crowley, 30, of Tweedsmuir Court, was scheduled to stand trial in Fredericton provincial court Friday on charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, threats and interference with the lawful use of someone’s property.
The RCMP charges stemmed from a violent incident Oct. 14 involving his spouse, Karimah Crowley, in Beaver Dam.
However, rather than proceed to trial, Crown and defence lawyers told Judge Mélanie Poirier LeBlanc the two sides had reached a resolution.
