Case against Abas Suleiman Mohamed, 33, to proceed after latest psychiatric assessment
An unhoused Fredericton man accused of robbing a woman of a pair of earbuds was deemed fit Monday after the latest in a series of psychiatric assessments.
Abas Suleiman Mohamed, 33, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court remotely from a custodial facility Monday, set to go through a fitness hearing.
He faces charges of robbing Elizabeth Namit of a pair of JBL earbuds, breaching a police undertaking requiring him to stay away from the Atlantic Superstore on Smythe Street, and trespassing on the premises of Kings Place in downtown Fredericton, all on Feb. 14.
