Guilty pleas expected in funny-money case
Tyler Joshua Depow, 33, seeks to transfer long list of charges to Moncton for sentencing
A capital-region man who previously denied a long list of counterfeit-cash and other alleged offences wants to transfer his charges to Moncton court for the purpose of entering guilty pleas.
Tyler Joshua Depow, 33, formerly of Oromocto, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from jail in Shediac on Wednesday to schedule trial dates on dozens of charges.
He pleaded not guilty earlier this month to numerous counts alleged to have occurred in Fredericton and surrounding communities.
Among those charges were defrauding a Nova Scotia business and obtaining a sports car from it under false pretenses, and numerous counts of possessing counterfeit U.S. bills and passing them at capital-region businesses between July and February.
