Guilty plea in hot copper-wire case
Brittany Marie Alexander, 34, of Rusagonis, previously denied she possessed stolen metal
A Rusagonis woman scheduled to stand trial Thursday on an allegation she was caught with stolen copper opted to admit to that crime and others.
Brittany Marie Alexander, 34, of Post Road, appeared in Fredericton provincial court with defence lawyer Wanda Severns on Thursday afternoon for trial on three criminal charges.
However, prosecutor Jennifer Cooper said the Crown and defence had resolved the matters and the trials wouldn’t be proceeding.
