Freezing-rain warning issued for province
Forecast calls for four to eight hours of freezing rain Monday, making for slick conditions
The federal weather service has issued an alert for all parts of New Brunswick, advising that they see several hours of freezing rain beginning Monday morning.
Environment and Climate Change Canada’s weather service issued a freezing-rain warning late Sunday morning for all areas of New Brunswick.

“A warm front will sweep across the region on Monday. Precipitation will begin as snow [Sunday night] before changing to ice pellets then freezing rain by Monday morning,” it said.
“Freezing rain will transition to rain later on Monday morning for southern New Brunswick and in the afternoon for the northern half of the province.”
The federal forecast calls for five to 10 millimetres of freezing rain lasting between four to eight hours.
“Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur,” the advisory stated.
