Michael G. Burden, 75, accused of threatening violence against justice-system participant

A Fredericton man accused of threatening a justice-system participant is in the process of retaining legal counsel, court heard this week, and he’ll answer to the indictable charge next month.

Michael G. Burden, 75, of Barton Crescent, stands charged with threatening violence against Virgil Arbeau Nov. 13 with intent to provoke a state of fear in an effort to impede the administration of justice.

The charge doesn’t indicate in which case Arbeau is involved and in what capacity.
