Fredericton man denies brutalizing woman
Martin Robert Tyc, 36, in custody after alleged breach of conditions, to stand trial in April
A Fredericton man accused of serious assaults on a woman in the capital - including a knife attack and an aggravated assault - is headed to trial in the spring.
Martin Robert Tyc, 36, of Union Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Tuesday, scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter pleas on a number of serious charges.
He’s accused of assaulting Sandra Andrade by chokingher , assaulting her with a knife, assaulting her and causing her bodily harm, assaulting her with a vodka bottle, possessing a knife for a purpose dangerous to the public peace; and driving while prohibited by a court order, all on Oct. 27.
