Fredericton man deemed missing - cops
Zacary Robert Morris, 25, was last seen early Sunday morning, reports city police force
The Fredericton Police Force issued an alert Monday evening about a city resident who’d gone missing, and it asked the public for assistance in locating him.
However, the advisory was silent on the fact the missing man also has outstanding drug-trafficking charges pending in provincial court.
The city police force reported on social media Monday that Zacary Robert Morris, 25, was missing.
“Morris was last seen in Fredericton in the early hours of Aug. 11, 2024, in the Marysville area,” it said.
The missing man is described as being about 5’10” tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
The force also noted that he has tattoos of the name "Corey" and as well as an anarchism symbol on the left side of his neck.
Anyone with information on Morris’ whereabouts is urged to call the Fredericton Police Force at 506-460-2300. Those wishing to provide tips anonymously can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Tipsters should cite police file no. 24-18268.
The police advisory made no mention of the fact that Morris has charges pending in Fredericton provincial court.
He was scheduled to appear Aug. 8 to answer to March 30 counts of possession of meth, fentanyl and cocaine for the purposes of trafficking and a related charge of possession of the proceeds of crime - namely $2,340 in Canadian currency.
Morris - whose address is listed on Needham Street in his court file - is also subject to a police undertaking requiring him to report to the city police force every Wednesday, and he’s accused of failing to do that March 27.
When his case was called in provincial court Aug. 8, the Crown asked for it to be set over so police could serve him with a summons.
