30-year-old city resident charged with sexual offence against his intimate partner in 2022

A Fredericton man was in court this week to answer to an allegation he sexually assaulted his partner two years ago, but asked for an adjournment so he can seek legal counsel.

The 30-year-old northside man made his first appearance in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday to face an indictable charge alleging he sexually assaulted a woman in Fredericton between June 1 and Aug. 31, 2022.

Judge Lucie Mathurin ordered a publication ban on information that would tend to identify the complainant.
