Fine, probation for driving drunk with firearms
Audie L. Peterson, 31, of Cardigan, rear-ended another car with elevated blood-alcohol level
A Cardigan man was fined and ordered to undergo substance-abuse treatment last week for impaired driving and illegal firearms possession.
Audie L. Peterson, 31, of Route 620 in Cardigan, located about 20 kilometres northwest of Fredericton, pleaded guilty in Fredericton provincial court earlier this year to impaired driving and possessing two firearms without a licence or proper authorization.
He was back in court Friday for a sentencing hearing.
Court heard previously that police were dispatched to the scene of a motor-vehicle accident the night of Oct. 6.
