Father, son deny aggravated-assault charge

A father and son from Lower Durham charged jointly with an alleged aggravated assault on another man earlier this year will stand trial in a year’s time.
Steven John Scott, 44, and Soren Crain Scott, 21, both of Lower Durham Road in Lower Durham, just north of Fredericton, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Monday, accompanied by their defence lawyers, T.J. Burke and Alex Pate, respectively.

The father and son are jointly accused of an aggravated assault on Mark McCann by wounding him and/or endangering his life in Fredericton on Feb. 20 and threats to harm and/or kill him.
