A Fredericton woman will be sentenced this fall after admitting to an eclectic variety of crimes, including violating a sex-offender registration order and stealing an entire cash register.
Katherine Elizabeth McIntyre, 33, of Valleyview Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday to answer to several offences. She pleaded guilty to the following:
- failure to report to the sex-offender registration centre March 5, 2022, to update it on her address as required by a court order issued in September 2015;
- theft of a cash register belonging to Paragon Cleaners on Regent Street and an associated breach of probation Aug. 30;
- breach of probation by failing to report to her probation officer Sept. 6;
- theft of merchandise from the southside Canadian Tire and another probation violation Dec. 8;
- and failures to attend court Sept. 13, Feb. 16 and March 31.
Judge Cameron Gunn ordered the preparation of a pre-sentence report for consideration in sentencing, and scheduled McIntyre’s sentencing hearing for Sept. 18.
