UPDATE: Elderly Ludlow man found safe
RCMP reported 80-year-old man had been believed to be lost on the trails in a rural area, but has been located
The RCMP reports that an elderly man from Ludlow who went missing Tuesday has been located and is safe.
The force’s Doaktown detachment issued a news release Tuesday about the missing 80-year-old man from Ludlow, noting it was believed he’d wandered off on a trail in the woods and was likely confused.
Ludlow is about an hour’s drive north of Fredericton, and just a few kilometres north of Boiestown.
However, in a followup Wednesday, the RCMP reported the man had been found, and was safe and sound.
The RCMP had tasked officers from its Doaktown detachment, members with specialized policing services and local ground search and rescue teams to scour the area Tuesday and had advised the public to expect an increased police presence as a result.
