‘Either I’m insane, or this is real’
Andrew J.R. Quann, 38, of Nova Scotia, says he only pleaded guilty to sex crimes because military “psychological operations” manipulated him through Facebook and refrigerator
A secret “psychological operations” military branch has been communicating with and manipulating a sex-crime defendant through his refrigerator and phone, the former soldier told a court Tuesday.
Andrew J.R. Quann, 38, formerly of Nasonworth but now living in Nova Scotia, pleaded guilty in Fredericton provincial court Jan. 27 to indictable charges of sexually assaulting a minor and touching that child for a sexual purpose between Jan. 1, 2014, and Dec. 31, 2019, in Oromocto.
There’s a court-ordered publication ban in effect protecting the identity of the complainant.
But two weeks after admitting to the crimes, he asked the court to allow him to withdraw those pleas and enter not-guilty pleas instead.
