Dump-truck mishap caused major outage

Contact with power line occurred on Fredericton's north side Tuesday in West Hills area

About 25,000 NB Power customers found themselves without electricity in Fredericton on Tuesday morning after a dump-truck bucket made contact with power lines.

A dump truck appears to have been unloading at the corner of West Hills Crossing and Summerhill Row when its bucket struck overhead wires at about 9 a.m. Tuesday.
