Drunk and high motorist drove into ditch
Aiden Alexander Gaumond, 21, of Upper Queensbury, also failed to attend court in 2022
A young Upper Queensbury man cried as he admitted to police more than three years ago that he’d been drinking and smoking pot before he drove his car into a ditch, a court heard Tuesday.
Aiden Alexander Gaumond, 21, of Route 105 in Upper Queensbury, near Nackawic, pleaded guilty in Fredericton provincial court Tuesday to long-standing counts of impaired driving and failing to attend court.
Crown prosecutor Daniel Standing said Mounties were dispatched to a motor-vehicle accident in Upper Kingsclear on Dec. 9, 2021, and they found a blue-green 2011 Suzuki SX4 in a ditch.
En route, he said, the officers were advised the driver of the car was impaired.
