When officers spotted a minivan Monday that had been reported as stolen, it led to the discovery of thousands worth of narcotics and weapons, the city police report.

The Fredericton Police Force issued a news release Thursday morning in which it stated that members of its street crime unit took note of a red Dodge Caravan that had been reported as stolen.

The city police force says the pictured items were seized after a suspect was pulled over in a stolen vehicle Monday. Arrested was Malcolm Andrew Peterson, 49, of Fredericton, the force said. (Photo: Submitted/Fredericton Police Force)

Those officers, assisted by members with the force’s patrol division, stopped the van and arrested Malcolm Andrew Peterson, 49, of Bridge Street in Fredericton, the release said.
