City police report two arrested, released on conditions after cocaine, meth found
Two people were released on conditions after drugs and cash were found in a vehicle after a traffic stop last week, says the Fredericton Police Force.
The force issued a news release Wednesday morning about a drug seizure and arrests effected after traffic stop.
“On Sept. 22, 2023, members of the Fredericton Police Force’s drugs unit, along with the integrated enforcement unit, arrested a 46-year-old male and a 26-year-old female,” the release stated.

“After a vehicle stop on Fredericton’s north side, the pair were arrested for possession [of drugs] for the purpose of trafficking.”
It said officers seized quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine, drug paraphernalia and Canadian currency as a result of the arrests and search of the vehicle.
The man and woman were both released on conditions, the release said, and a future court date, which the police didn’t disclose in the release.
It said the 46-year-old man is expected to face counts of possession of cocaine and meth for the purpose of trafficking and driving while suspended. Police expect to charge the 26-year-old woman with possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Any charges have to be reviewed and approved by a prosecutor before they’re laid in court.
