Driver in triple fatality identified, not named
Fredericton police say youth was at wheel of vehicle that crashed on north side last year
The Fredericton Police Force says it has wrapped its investigation into a spectacular crash that claimed three young lives more than a year ago, finding that a minor was driving at the time.
The force issued a news release Monday morning announcing the conclusion of the investigation into a triple fatality on Douglas Avenue in the early-morning hours of May 5, 2024.
“The collision resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left two others seriously injured,” the release stated.
Killed in the incident were Kyler Hunter-Astle, 22; Layla Rodgerson, 14; and Owen Fairweather, 17.
