I have no love for this crowd, but it seems like the police are stringing him along by not providing the documents he needs, curious what they're so reluctant to release.

There are a few provisions in the Bill of Rights (1960) that do not appear in the Charter, but, unlike the Charter, it _only_ applies to Federal legislation. The accused in this matter is charged under Provincial legislation so it is not really applicable. I am actually looking forward to his argument.

In this case, Mr. Albert is charged with two counts under the Criminal Code of Canada, which is federal legislation, though the case is unfolding in provincial court. Your comment seems to suggest you thought the case might have been a prosecution for a violation of the provincial Emergency Measures Act. Understandable, given the issues at hand, but not the case.
