Disclosure of the Crown file in a case of a teacher accused of assaulting a young student last fall was delayed because the material had to be translated, a prosecutor told the court Thursday.

Suzanne Ross, 33, of Jake Street in Rusagonis, was back in Fredericton provincial court Thursday on a summary charge of assault.

She’s accused of assaulting a boy Sept. 19 at l’École les Éclaireurs, a francophone school in Fredericton where Ross was teaching at the time.

Ross has opted for her court proceedings to be held in French.
