A Fredericton-area man will remain behind bars pending the outcome of the charges against him, which include drug-trafficking and shoplifting allegations.
Connor Brent MacDougal, 27, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Monday in custody for a bail hearing.

He’s been in custody since last week after he was arrested Oct. 22 and charged with counts of possession of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking; and possession of a weapon (bear spray) for a purpose dangerous to the public peace.
