Patrick Owens Covered Bridge in Rusagonis closed due to motor-vehicle incident Monday
A covered bridge in the capital region is closed in the wake of a car accident Monday, and the province is assessing the damage.
The Oromocto Fire Department issued an advisory through social media Monday evening, advising the public to steer clear of the Patrick Owens Covered Bridge in Rusagonis.
“Please be advised that until further notice the Patrick Owen’s Covered Bridge in Rusagonis is closed to through traffic,” it said.
“The road has been barricaded at the intersection of the Wilsey [Road] and Route 655. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes at this time.”
