Counterfeit-cash suspect faces new counts
New funny-money charges added to list against Danielle Jean Kerr, 36, of no fixed address
The case against a woman accused of multiple counts of possessing and passing bogus bills in the capital region was set over at her counsel’s request, but not before new charges were put to her.
Danielle Jean Kerr, 36, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Tuesday, scheduled to elect mode of trial and enter pleas on numerous counts of possessing counterfeit U.S. cash and uttering those bills at businesses in the area.
Duty counsel Josh Pozzolo, acting as an agent for Kerr’s defence lawyer, Tim Murphy, said her counsel was seeking a three-week adjournment.
Judge Cameron Gunn granted that adjournment, but he noted there were new counts against Kerr that hadn’t been put to her before.
