Counterfeit-cash suspect blows off bail
Tyler Joshua Depow, 33, remanded but reserves right to revisit request for release later
A former Oromocto resident accused of passing bogus bills around the capital region and defrauding a business has given up his quest to be released from custody… for now.
Tyler Joshua Depow, 33, was arrested late last month on outstanding warrants and new charges alleging he was uttering counterfeit cash at Fredericton-area businesses in recent months.
The Crown had objected to his release, but Depow has repeatedly asked for his bail hearing to be postponed over the past month so he could develop a release plan.
Depow was back on the Fredericton provincial court docket Monday for his bail hearing again, but this time, he decided to forgo the process for the time being.
