Cops seek to reunite keys with owners
Woodstock police release photo of array of keys in effort to find out to whom they belong
Social media has proven to be key in aiding law enforcement with various files, but a New Brunswick policing agency turned to its online presence for information about literal keys this week.
Police in the town of Woodstock released a photo on social media Tuesday of a collection of keys.

“The Woodstock Police Force has come into possession of many keys, and we are looking to identify the owners,” it said in a post on Facebook.
Deputy Chief Mark Bennett told the Fredericton Independent on Thursday that the keys were all recovered at the same time in a recent police operation.
There was a criminality component to that operation, he said, but police can’t say if the keys are related to any kind of illegal activity.
The deputy chief said the force is just trying to return the keys to their owners, though if it’s discovered they’re stolen in the process, officers will deal with that if and when the time comes.
Anyone who believes any of the keys might belong to them is urged to call the Woodstock Police Force at 506-325-4601 during regular business hours Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
