Cops investigate Saturday trail assault
Fredericton Police Force seeks witnesses to attack by two male suspects on another man
The Fredericton Police Force says it’s investigating a report of an assault on a section of the city’s trail system on the north side Saturday evening, and it’s hoping the public can provide evidence.
The police force issued a plea for witnesses, video or other information through social media Saturday night about a reported incident earlier that evening.
“Earlier [Saturday] evening, at approximately 7:30 p.m, the Fredericton Police Force and Justice and Public Safety dog services responded to a reported assault on the trail between Sunset Drive and Clements Drive, where two males assaulted another adult male,” the advisory stated.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has video footage of it or other relevant information to call the Fredericton Police Force at 506-460-2300.
