Cops investigate morning collision uptown
Two vehicles towed after accident Monday at intersection of Bishop Drive, Smythe Street
Some people’s morning commute in uptown Fredericton proved more troublesome than usual after two cars collided at the intersection of Bishop Drive and Smythe Street.
“Shortly after 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, the Fredericton Police Force, along with EMS and fire units, responded to a motor-vehicle accident on Bishop Drive involving two vehicles with airbags deployed,” police spokesperson Megan Barker told the Fredericton Independent on Monday.
“Both vehicles were towed from the scene.”
Barker didn’t indicate if there were injuries, serious or otherwise.
She also didn’t say if any charges were pending or expected, but noted the incident remains under police investigation.
