Two men accused of murder stemming from a December 2021 shooting in Fredericton are headed to trial in late 2025, and two others accused in a different murder case out of Chipman will be before a jury in early 2026.

But it took the court and lawyers some wrangling Tuesday to arrive at those trial dates.

Joshua John McIsaac, 35, and Travis James Snowsell, 27, both formerly of Penniac, were before the Court of King’s Bench at the Burton Courthouse on Tuesday - McIsaac over the phone from a federal prison, and Snowsell in person and in custody.

They face a joint charge of second-degree murder in the Dec. 29, 2021, death of Corey Christopher Markey.
