City cops probe girl’s sudden death Sunday
Fredericton Police Force’s major crime unit delves into fatality on capital’s north side
A 16-year-old girl died suddenly on Fredericton’s north side Sunday, and detectives with the major crime unit are investigating, reports the city police force.
The Fredericton Police Force (FPF) issued a news release Monday afternoon about the sudden death of a 16-year-old girl Sunday.
“On Sunday, June 1, police responded to a call for service and upon arrival, discovered the deceased female on the city’s north side,” it said.
“The circumstances and nature of the death are under investigation by the FPF’s major crime team in collaboration with the coroner’s office.”
The force said it wouldn’t be releasing any additional details about the case “to protect the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of those involved.”
